Exploring Lake Bled | Slovenia

To celebrate our 4th relationship anniversary, Marko and I decided to visit Lake Bled. It is a lake in the Julian Alps of the Upper Carniolan region of northwestern Slovenia. The area is a perfect tourist destination. We had a chance to visit not only the Lake Bled, but also the capital city Ljubljana and Celje.

Povodom naše četvrte godišnjice Marko i ja odlučili smo posjetiti Bledsko jezero. Nalazi se  Julijskim Alpama na sjeverozapadu Slovenije. Ne samo da smo imali priliku posjetiti to savršeno turističko odredište, već i glavni grad Ljubljanu te Celje.

The breathtaking Bled

Our first stop - Hotel Ribno, located 2,5 km from the centre of Bled in the scenic village of Ribno.

It offers panoramic views and it is surrounded by a pine forest. I love the fact that Hotel Ribno is the first Slovenian Zero Waste hotel.

With its bluish-green lake, no wonder that Bled is Slovenia's most popular resort. The area offers many activities, and hiking or biking are just a few of them. We decided to walk 6 km long trail around the lake and hike up the hill to medieval Bled Castle and enjoy the magnificent views.

Sa svojim plavo-zelenim jezerom, nije ni čudo da je Bled najpopularnije ljetovalište u Sloveniji. Područje nudi brojne aktivnosti, a planinarenje ili biciklizam samo su neke od njih. Odlučili smo prošetati 6 km dugom stazom oko jezera i pješačiti uz brdo do srednjovjekovnog Bledskog dvorca i uživati u prekrasnim pogledima.
