Pixi Vitamin-C Collection | review

      Created over 20 years ago and launched in the boutique in London, Pixi has a loyal worldwide following thanks to its pure, awakening & skin-loving products that create a naturally radiant look. I received this collection months ago as my first pixi PR package ever (wow, I can't believe I am so lucky!). In this post I am going to write my honest review about pixi Vitamin-C Collection.

Pixi's mission is the same now as it was on the first day the Pixi boutique opened: simply to bring out the natural beauty in everyone. Creator, Petra Strand has 20+ years of experience as a makeup artist & product developer. She creates innovative formulations that are infused with botanical and beneficial ingredients.

The stunning package I received included the Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser, Vitamin-C Tonic, Vitamin-C Serum, Vitamin-C Lotion and Vitamin-C Caviar Balm.
Vitamin-C has potent antioxidant power that promotes healthy collagen production and is known to boost skin's luminosity.

Pixi Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser

Pixi Beauty Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser (150 ml / 5.7 fl oz) gently cleanses and brightens your skin while improving the overall tone and appearance of your complexion. This powerful yet soothing cleansing water not only removes pesky impurities from your skin, but it also preserves and protects your complexion while boosting your natural luminosity. It can be used daily or as needed.

The first thing I noticed about this entire range was the sour, yet sweet scent. All of the products have a really fresh, clean citrus scent which is very refreshing and revitalizing to use, especially in the morning. I use it with a reusable bamboo rounds and it removes all of my makeup extremely easily, while also keeping my skin fresh and protected from outside pollutants. What I love about this cleanser is that you can simply apply it with a cotton pad or with your hands and there is no need to rinse it off. 

Also, the pump is a huge plus -  it makes the dosing process easier. You pump out what you need, so you don’t end up wasting excess product. It makes for a quick and easy cleansing routine which is perfect if you are in a rush.

After using this cleanser for a while, it left my skin feeling fresh and cleansed. It didn’t irritate or sting my skin and it seems to make spots fade more quickly.

Pixi Vitamin-C Tonic (100 ml / 3.4 fl. oz) helps create a smooth and vibrant complexion while it preps your skin for the rest of your Pixi-perfect skincare routine. We carefully picked out skin-loving ingredients to provide you with a fast, easy and no-fuss way to reap all the brightening benefits with daily use. Use it daily or as needed to soothe and brighten your skin.

After cleansing my face, I use this tonic with reusable bamboo rounds as an extra step to ensure I’ve gotten everything off. My skin looks visibly clearer and brighter. It didn’t irritate or sting my skin. I would recommend this toner for oily and ace-prone skin. It will give your skin a thorough cleanse. For better results, you can use it in combination with the cleanser.

It's an alcohol-free toner, suitable for all skin types. Probiotics found in this tonic will strengthen your skin while willow bark and fruit extracts will gently exfoliate your skin. Vitamin C boosts collagen synthesis.

Vitamin-C Serum

Vitamin-C Serum (30 ml / 1.01 fl. oz) is an enriching serum that provides a radiant glow and helps improve skin tone and creates a smoother complexion while reducing the effects of sun damage and free radicals. You can use it daily or as needed.

This product is definitely my favorite out of the entire Vitamin-C Collection. The serum feels very lightweight and it doesn’t leave a sticky or oily residue on the skin. I use it twice a day and my skin loves it. It has a divine grapefruit scent which is so refreshing. After using it, my skin is smooth, fresh and radiant.

It contains Vitamin C & ferulic acid, which are proven to reduce the effects of sun damage & free radicals, helping to improve skin tone and creating a smoother complexion.

Not only is your skin treated to rich hydration, but you'll also enjoy the benefits of key ingredients known for their abilities to revive, protect and revitalize the skin. You can use it daily as a go-to moisturizer or as needed for a skincare pick-me-up.

This lightweight lotion is perfect for hot summer days. It quickly absorbs into the skin leaving it moisturized and hydrated. I have read a few negative comments about the scent of this lotion, but in my opinion this product is worth trying.

Vitamin-C Caviar Balm (45 ml / 1.52 fl. oz) provides rich, heavenly moisture for your skin. This brightening leave-on mask hydrates and protects your skin all day or night while promoting the production of youth-preserving collagen.

This balm is designed to act like a leave-on mask to give your skin a little boost. The consistency is thick compared to the lotion. It contains hydrating ingredients like Shea Butter which will hydrate, nourish and brightening your skin. After using it, my skin is radiant and it has a glow. You might want to skip on this product if you have oily skin.
