What's in My Beach Bag?

In this post, I am going to show you my beach essentials for a perfect day in the sun. Some people overpack, while some forget to take must-haves when going out in harsh sun. I hope this list will make your packing easier.

U ovom postu navest ću stvari koje uzimam na plažu. Često se događa da se kod pakiranja uzme previše stvari, ali isto tako znamo zaboraviti one najvažnije bez kojih ne možemo. 

Beach Towel

When you are hitting the beach, a large beach towel is a necessity. You will need a good towel to dry off after a swim or lay down. I bought this cactus "HUG ME please" towel in Pepco last summer.

Prva stvar na popisu je veliki ručnik. Bit će vam potreban poslije plivanja da se osušite ili da legnete na njega. Ovaj ručnik sam kupila u Pepcu prošlog ljeta za 20 HRK. 

Sunglasses

Make sure to protect your eyes from the sun on your beach trip! My eyes are very sensitive, so I personally can’t even go outside without sunglasses. I always make sure to pack at least two pairs of sunglasses when I go on a vacation. A hat can also limit UV rays that hit the eyes from above or around glasses.

Nikako ne smijete zaboravite zaštiti oči od sunca!  Moje oči su osjetljive, stoga je nošenje sunčanih naočala za mene obavezno. Kada idem na putovanje, uvijek uzmem 2 para naočala. Oči možete zaštiti i nošenjem šešira.

Hat

This chic floppy hat easily fits in your beach bag. Not only it protects your head and face from the sun, but it also protects your eyes. If you are looking for a perfect hat, this might be the one. It looks cute, it's lightweight, affordable and the most imortant thing - it protects you from the sun.

Ovaj šešir lako stane u torbu za plažu. Ne samo da štiti glavu i lice od sunca, već štiti i vaše oči. Ovo je savršen odabir za vas ako tražite lagani šešir za ljeto koji izgleda elegantno, a cijena mu je pristupačna. 

Sun Care Products

This summer I have been testing some products from different brands. It is very important to protect your skin and stay away from the sun as much as possible. I used these products before exposure to the sun and reapplied them often to maintain the original level of protection, especially after swimming and towel drying.

Ovog ljeta testirala sam proizvode za sunčanje različitih brendova. Vrlo je važno zaštiti kožu od sunca izbjegavati ga koliko god je to moguće. Ove proizvode sam koristila prije izlaganja suncu i redovito ih nanosila kako bih se zaštitila od sunca, naročito nakon plivanja i brisanja ručnikom.

Lip Balm

In my opinion, a lip balm is a must-have. Especially, when you get out of the salty sea and your lips are dry from the salt and the sun. I kept mine in the portable cooler so it doesn't melt.

Mislim da je balzam za usne vrlo bitan. Naročito kada izađete iz mora, a usne su vam suhe od soli i sunca. Kako se balzam ne bi otopio na suncu, držite ga u prijenosnom  hladnjaku.

Books/Magazines

A book at the beach is always a great idea. After swimming and snorkeling, you can relax and tan while reading a book. I am currently reading STAR WARS Book of Sith for 18468th time. :D

Knjiga na plaži je uvijek odlična ideja. Nakon plivanja i ronjenja, možete čitati knjigu dok se sunčate. Trenutno čitam knjigu STAR WARS Book of Sith po stoti put. :D

Water Shoes

Water shoes are great if you will be doing any walking around rocks and cliffs. I’ve been caught a few times without them and my feet have paid dearly for my mistake. Since then, I never forget to take them with me.

Cipele za more će vam svakako biti potrebne ako plaža nije pješčana. Nekoliko puta sam ulazila u more bez njih i požalila. Od tada ih više nikada ne zaboravim uzeti.

Floats

Floats are definitely not a necessity but they sure are fun. I get tired from all the swimming and snorkeling, so the only thing I want to do is just relax on a float.

Luftići i madraci nisu obavezni, no svakako dobro dođu. Lako se umorim nakon plivanja i ronjenja, tako da mi luftić dobro dođe da legnem na njega i odmaram.

Portable Cooler for Drinks, Snacks and Fruit

For any day trip to the beach, you're going to want some cold drinks. If you don't want to spend a lot of money at the bar, traveling to the beach with fresh water is important, as it is easy to get dehydrated.
You will need a portable cooler for your beach-friendly snacks. I like to take fruit with me.

Beach Cover Ups

It’s good to have a beach cover up to hand if you decide to go for a walk. There’s no need to rush back to the hotel/apartment for extra layers – a light cover up will slip effortlessly over your swimwear and takes up no room at all in your beach bag.

Body Mist

There are a lot of body mists, but I prefer the ones that have a cooling effect. You can easily refresh yourself.

Wallet/Money

It is always a good idea to have cash on you in case you want to buy a drink or a snack. Just be careful, never take a lot of money with you.

Phone/Camera/GoPro

It is always a good idea to take photos on the beach. Make sure you keep an eye on your electronics.
